Born and raised in the picturesque Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Johny Francis, could not have wished for a haven where his love for photography incubated. This serenity that surrounded him possibly ignited within him a fondness and love towards nature and photography. The passion that he would nurture so fondly would rapidly grow intense that he would later on in life lay down a thriving career as a Server Engineer to follow his heart. His message: It's never too late to follow your dreams.

He certified as a professional photographer graduating from the prestigious Dristi School of Art & Photography. His love for fashion photography earned him an internship under India’s style guru and senior fashion icon Prasad Bidapa. Under the able guidance of experts from within the industry, Johny blossomed into a thoroughly polished and experienced photographer. Within a short span of two years, with his charming personality and his unique style of work, Johny’s talent and dedication paved him a way to create a place and a name from himself in the fashion industry.

His photographs include signature collections of India's leading designers for media editorials and publicity campaigns. He has worked with designer greats such as Rohit Bal, Manish Malhotra, Abraham & Thakore, and Neeta Lulla. Be it a fashion folio, designer catalogue or an editorial, Johny has a signature style of capturing images. His editorial shoots have appeared in several publications of repute such as GQ, Explocity 080, Femina besides several other Indian magazines.

Adding credit to his work, Johny was appointed the official fashion photographer for Femina Miss India. As a regular publicist and brand product photographer, his clients include several prestigious lifestyle brands, both Indian and international. Harley Davidson, Kasperskey Antivirus and Splash are some of the popular international brands he has worked with. Back home, Johny’s expertise has fetched him prestigious platforms to work with household brand names such as Mysore silks, CKC jewelers, Dell, Intel, Kerala Tourism and Andaman & Nicobar Tourism.

Johny's expertise has fetched him appreciations and accolades from several celebrities, film stars and public personalities of national and international reputation. His lens since then has captured the likes of Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anushka Sharma, Sonu Nigam, Nicole Faria, Bruna Abdullah, Nethra Raghuraman and Indian cricketers such as Dinesh Karthik. He considers his shooting India's music Mozart and Oscar winner A.R Rahman at his first live concert after his Oscar wins, as a defining moment in his photographic career. Despite being a fashion photographer, his immense dedication towards visual and performing arts has triggered him to do remarkable work in nature photography, travel documentary and short films. Johny follows his passion religiously and opines that there is more to be explored, counting it a great joy to be doing what he is doing.
